MHCP Health Improvement Fund Grant

Overview

The health system members of the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (MHCP) (Ascension Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, Children’s Wisconsin, and Froedtert ThedaCare Health Inc.) helped launch the MHCP Health Improvement Fund with United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County in 2011 to support organizations that provide health care and support services for low-income, underserved populations in Milwaukee County, with the aim of improving health outcomes and advancing health equity.

MHCP Health Improvement Fund (HIF) grants are one-time grants to non-profit, health and human service agencies in Milwaukee County.

The Health Improvement Fund will focus on MHCP’s  priority to increase the availability, accessibility, and acceptability of medical, mental health, and dental services for low-income, underserved populations in Milwaukee County,as identified in the Milwaukee Community Health Needs Assessment, and the MHCP’s Annual Plan, prioritizing organizations with a strong racial and health equity focus:

Special consideration will be made for organizations applying for funding who are actively participating in Milwaukee Health Care Partnership sponsored or supported initiatives and those with a strong racial and health equity focus.
