Holiday Giving Tree

Main Content

In 2024, United Way's goal for the Holiday Giving Tree remains the same: to share gifts with our neighbors that may otherwise go without. Last year, with your help, we were able to match over 7,300 wishes. By making a financial gift to United Way's Holiday Giving Tree program, we are able to mobilize gifts to spread cheer for local children, adults, and seniors.

Make a donation of $30 to fill one wish today.

The Impact

Shari Campbell headshot“It is amazing to see the looks on our little ones’ faces when they receive their gifts. These may be the only gifts that they will receive during the holidays, when other children are receiving so many. It is even more heartwarming to see the looks on parents’ faces when they are able to give the gifts to their children and see their joy.  This takes so much stress off of the shoulders of parents who may not otherwise be able to provide the gifts or the experience to their children.  As an Agency, it is an honor to be a part of making this happen.”

FAQs

Open AllClose All
Can we request a nonprofit to be matched with?

We will be working from mid-October through mid-November to match your request with a participating nonprofit. While we greatly encourage you to consider remaining flexbile with who you are matched with by selecting "Greatest Need", we will do our best to meet your specific requests. Please know that we cannot guarantee accommodation, especially as the season progresses and available agencies are more limited.

When will I get my gift tags?

Gift tags are expected to become available November 18-19. United Way will delivery your requested tags directly to the address you list on your survey.

Do the gifts need to be wrapped?

Most nonprofits ask that their gifts are placed in a gift bag, instead of wrapped with wrapping paper. This allows them the opportunity to best match the gift with the individuals they serve. Specific wrapping information will be listed on each gift tag.

What do I do when all the gifts have been purchased?

Once you are matched with your nonprofit, you will be directly connected with them via email and provided next steps. At this time, you will coordinate delivery of the gifts directly to the nonprofit (i.e. agreed upon date/time, delivery location, etc). Most gifts need to be delivered between December 9-13.
