Pride United
Volunteer at PrideFest
Milwaukee PrideFest has been celebrating LGBTQ+ pride since 1988! Join Pride United in volunteering to make this year’s event fun, safe, and successful.
On Saturday, June 4 from 11:30am to 5:00pm, volunteers will walk the grounds for safety, pick up litter, check IDs, scan entry tickets, and more. Following the volunteer shift, we will network, have drinks, and enjoy the festival as a group. Snacks and beverages will be included during your shift. Click here to register.

Retire United
Flexible Volunteer Opportunities
Would you enjoy the flexibility of being an on-call volunteer? The Johnson Controls Volunteer Center (located in United Way’s Milwaukee office building at 225 W. Vine St.) seeks volunteers to share two to three hours of their time, once or twice a month, to sort and organize school supplies for Backpack Coalition and to bundle packages of diapers collected through its Diaper Bank. Volunteers will receive 5-7 days’ notice ahead of the date they are needed.

LINC (Lead. Impact. Network. Change.)
LINC Goes Green for Earth Day
In April, LINC enjoyed the Urban Ecology Center’s Earth Day events at Washington Park. Volunteers planted vegetables in the Center’s garden and prepared life jackets for summer kayaking classes. The Urban Ecology Center works to inspire generations to build environmental curiosity, understanding, and respect by restoring hope and healing in the urban natural world, neighborhood by neighborhood. Thank you to the Urban Ecology Center for having us onsite!

Emerging Leaders
 Emerging Leaders, Reunited!
In April, the Emerging Leaders Council met to discuss plans for 2022 in-person events. Council members caught up with each other, shared life updates, and shook hands for the first time in over two years while enjoying a scenic rooftop happy hour sponsored by Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. Thank you to Ashley Smith and Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. for making this event possible!
