In the wake of the COVID pandemic, it’s more apparent than ever that digital tools and skills are essential for most of our basic, day-to-day needs and activities. However, tens of thousands of our neighbors are still without access to these vital tools and skills. Techquity aims to solve digital inequity by ensuring access to affordable broadband, reliable devices, and digital skills and literacy training.
United Way has set a goal: distribute 50,000 computers in five years.

Backpack Coalition
Last year, we distributed over 5,000 new backpacks filled with school supplies to children across our community, from Milwaukee Community Schools to Waukesha County. $20 provides one child with a backpack filled with grade-appropriate school supplies.
The Pride United Equity Fund supports programs that address and drive community change in issue areas that disproportionately affect the LGBTQ+ community.
The work is led by Pride United, a United Way Donor Network.
