Leadership
Donor Spotlight – Sam Green
Earlier this month, Leadership donor and Leadership Society Cabinet member, Sam Green, shared with us why she supports United Way.
"I engage with United Way because I admire how United Way listens to and learns from the community. United Way is focused on things that matter to me and the community where I live, the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee. I am particularly motivated by how United Way supports equitable mental health services for youth – focusing on preventive mental health care and access to services."
If you have any questions about becoming a Leadership donor, please contact Natalie Worcester.

Diversity Leadership Society
Agency Partner Spotlight
In 2024, Diversity Leadership Society is uplifting Reducing Barriers to Employment & Advancement (RBEA), one of United Way's key initiatives. One of our community partners under this initiative is FlexRide Milwaukee.
In Greater Milwaukee, cars are something you need to have, but if someone doesn't have access to a reliable vehicle, their commute to work would become inconvenient and expensive. FlexRide Milwaukee, operated by MobiliSE, is an on-demand program that helps individuals commute to and from work. FlexRide serves about 350 people a day and reduces a major barrier to maintaining employment in our community.

Pride United
Homecoming Registration Now Open!
The 2024 Pride United Homecoming will be held at Denizen MKE, an LGBTQ+ owned spaced located in the Washington Park neighborhood. The space was vacant for years until Amber Bricco and her wife decided to invest in the space and open a venue where all are welcome to celebrate.
Pride United understands that many LGBTQ+ adults were not able to bring the partner of their choice to homecoming, so we created this welcoming space where all were welcome and celebrated.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. To register, click here.
If you have questions about Pride United Homecoming, please contact Diamond Herring-Rodgers.
