Every year, United Way’s Campaign is led by four Campaign Co-chairs and over 150 volunteers that make up the Campaign Cabinet. This group is comprised of leaders from all sectors of our local community working together to encourage individuals and organizations in their networks to give, advocate, and volunteer in support of United Way’s work.

Weyco Group 

John is President and COO of Weyco Group, a Glendale-based public company that designs, markets, and distributes a portfolio of footwear brands. In his role, he helps direct the company’s strategic vision and is responsible for brand management, global sales, and e-commerce.  
 
John grew up in Milwaukee and is involved with various non-profits, with a special interest in both education and community development. He is a founding member of Wisconsin Business Leaders for Democracy. John received his BA in History from Brown University and his MBA from Yale’s School of Management.

VJS Construction Services (VJS) 

Craig Jorgensen is the President and CEO of VJS Construction Services (VJS). As the second-generation President of VJS, Craig carries on his father Gary's desire to better Milwaukee through philanthropic endeavors. He was the force behind the creation of VJS Community Foundation, a nonprofit whose philanthropic efforts give to many local communities. 
 
Craig's community involvement includes the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, YMCA, and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. Craig is a proud Iowa State University graduate who received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering.

Children’s Wisconsin 

Scott Turner serves as president and chief operating officer for Children’s Wisconsin hospitals. Always focused on Children’s belief that kids deserve the best, he provides strategic guidance throughout the Children’s system, including identifying sustainable ways Children’s can continue to deliver the highest quality care. 

Scott is currently a board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin and Wisconsin Hospital Association. Scott earned a master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon.

GMR Marketing  

DeVona Wright Cottrell is Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of GMR Marketing and Omnicom Experience Group.  As GMR’s Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, DeVona serves as the agency’s key corporate legal advisor, oversees the agency’s legal, risk and compliance management teams, and acts as a partner to agency leadership.   
 
DeVona is a Milwaukee native and is a diligent volunteer and mentor in the greater Milwaukee-area community. She serves on numerous local boards and committees throughout the city, including Tempo Milwaukee, Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy, Milwaukee Women, Inc. Steering Committee, and the Greater Milwaukee Committee. Wright Cottrell earned her Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and BA in Political Science from Jackson State University.
