We Cannot Thank You Enough

Changing someone’s life is about addressing Big Problems with Big Solutions. It’s about neighbors looking out for neighbors, building a supportive community, and creating a path to hope and opportunity. Changing someone’s life is the difference between merely surviving and truly thriving. And with your help, we’re changing lives.

Thank you for believing, for giving, and for showing what we can accomplish when we come together. Our mission wouldn’t be possible without your help, so we want to say thank you. Thank you for your donation, your time, and your advocacy.

Together, with donors like you, United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County raised $59,744,243 for our community this year! Click below to see our closing event highlights.

Safe & Stable Homes

Since its inception, over 30,000 families in our area have used Safe & Stable Homes programs to prevent or quickly end their experiences of homelessness or housing insecurity.

674 households benefited from mediation between tenants and landlords.

Nearly 3,500 households had housing attorneys in their eviction cases at no cost to them. Most of these cases had positive outcomes for the tenants, allowing families to stay in their homes.

Teen Mental Wellness:

Empowering Minds

Beginning in January of 2023, United Way partnered with two local high schools to pilot this initiative in schools, serving nearly 1,800 students at both schools.

The initiative expanded to an additional seven high schools beginning in the 2024 - 2025 school year. There are now a total of nine participating schools.

Each school is developing its own Mental Wellness Team, which includes students

and caregivers, to implement a system

that works best for the schools’ unique communities.
