Vaccination Requirement

For the safety and health of our volunteers and staff, full vaccination and up-to-date boosters are required to attend any United Way events or meetings. A person is fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving all recommended doses in their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine. Up-to-date boosters means a person has received all recommended doses in their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine and one booster dose when eligible.

Do not attend events if you are sick.

The most important thing when attending an event is to practice good hygiene. This means:

  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.

The measures above are especially important for people who have existing health conditions, such as those with diabetes, renal failure, chronic lung disease or who are immunocompromised.
