Public Policy

Main Content

United Way works with local, state, and federal policy makers to support policy solutions which enable all members of our community to thrive and create real and lasting change.

United Way’s policy work is centered within our Key Initiatives. To achieve the Key Initiatives’ goals, United Way must target the systemic and structural barriers in place. Many of these are embedded in our public sector, including laws, regulations, and budgets.

United Way provides our communities with tools, resources, and opportunities to engage elected leaders and advocate on behalf of our public policy plan.
