Workplace Engagement Opportunities
Whether you run a workplace campaign, give a corporate gift, provide sponsorship, or engage your employees in volunteerism, your organization’s partnership with United Way allows your employees to engage with the community in meaningful ways.
Your colleagues care about our community and want to work for an organizations that does, too. A United Way workplace campaign is a well-organized and fun opportunity for your employees to be part of positive, lasting change in our local community. Our team offers support at every point in the process to ensure your campaign is successful.
Your organization can support United Way and encourage employee participation through a corporate gift or a corporate match that multiplies your employees’ impact. United Way also offers opportunities to sponsor community impact initiatives, special events, marketing efforts, and more.
United Way connects employees and organizations to important work that makes a significant impact on our community. We offer a wide variety of volunteer experiences for groups of any size at your workplace or a non-profit.
If your organization makes a product (or partners with a vendor that does) donate new, unused products in bulk to help those in need. We can take products like home goods, clothing, hygeine products, etc. Through our Techquity initiative we accept used laptops to be repurposed.
Benefits of Partnering
Both your organization and employees benefit when you engage with United Way.
- Connection to your community: In addition to donating to causes they care about, a United Way workplace campaign offers employees a chance to learn more about local services available to those in need and to get directly involved by volunteering throughout the year.
- Corporate recognition: Partnership with United Way elevates your brand and enhances your employee recruitment efforts. United Way recognizes our community partners through electronic billboards, an annual insert in the Milwaukee Business Journal, social media, event marketing, and more.
- Employee satisfaction and retention: Employees who can give back to causes they care about through their workplace are more likely to find satisfaction in their employment. Workplace campaigns bring together employees from all levels and departments to foster a stronger, more cohesive, and more motivated workforce.
- Professional development: Our donor networks provide your employees opportunities to learn about community issues, network with like-minded individuals, and volunteer to make a difference. Donor networks include United Way’s Diversity Leadership Society, Emerging Leaders, Pride United, Technology United, Women United, Retire United, and LINC for young professionals.
