Tocqueville Society
Tocqueville Society: Making a Tremendous Impact
If you've ever wondered what the term "Tocqueville Society" meant, you aren't alone. Founded in 1984, the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County's Tocqueville Society was created to deepen the understanding, commitment, and support of our most generous, community-minded contributors. Donors who give $10,000 or more annually (with at least $6,000 directed to United Way's Community Fund and/or any of its health, education, and financial stability strategies or special initiatives) are recognized as Tocqueville Society members. Through a high level of giving, these dedicated business, civic, and philanthropic leaders demonstrate their unwavering commitment to making our community a place where every person can thrive.
In 2022, more than 700 Tocqueville donors provided over $20 million of total campaign support, including 74 members contributing $100,000 or more.

LINC
LINC'ed with UpStart Kitchen
On March 28, LINC Members put their leadership skills to work as they assisted culinary entrepreneurs from UpStart Kitchen with their business administration needs. Two interactive sessions were led by LINC's Co-Chairs Emily Kneiser and Kaila Mitchell, focused on financial planning, budgeting, and SMART goals. In addition to the expertise provided by LINC members, UpStart Kitchen entrepreneurs each received a free laptop thanks to our Techquity initiative and Digital Bridge.
The entrepreneurs and volunteers had a wonderful evening building their business acumen while enjoying hors d'oeuvres prepared by UpStart Kitchen's chef Tamesha at Dream Catering.
Contact Nancy Clarkin for details about how you can become a member and learn more about LINC's work.
