Details:When you think of home what comes to mind? Is it a safe haven and a comfort zone? Is it a place where you can love and be loved? While home can feel that way for many -- we know it is not the case for everyone. Individuals and families in our comminity who are facing housing insecurity often have feelings of isolation and loneliness, especially around holidays like Valentines Day.
United Way, in partnership with Johnson Controls, is proud to organize a family-friendly volunteer event to assemble "Packed with Love" housing focused kits for individuals who are transitioning out of homelessness. These kits help alleviate stress and provide individuals and families with much needed supplies to turn their new house into a safe and comfortable home.
This event is in alignment with one of our key initiatives, Safe and Stable Homes: Ending Family Homelessness.
This is a family-friendly volunteer event. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to join us.
