United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County
Beginning in 2024, The Mental Health Improvement Fund (formerly the Health Improvement Fund) will support organizations that provide mental health services for low-income, underserved adult and youth populations in Milwaukee County. The goal is to increase access to mental health care, improve mental health outcomes, and promote health equity.
Grants are awarded to organizations through the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership (Ascension Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Health and ThedaCare Health, Inc.) and United Way.
Supported activities include increasing access to mental health outpatient diagnostic and treatment services and improving care coordination. Grants are one-time investments to nonprofit, health and human service agencies in Milwaukee County.
New and increased gifts matched six to one by the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership from 7/1/24 to 6/30/25 up to $2 million.
