Summer 2022 Opportunity

Volunteer for United Way’s Backpack Coalition!  

United Way's Backpack Coalition is dedicated to helping kids be successful in school by starting the year off with a backpack full of school supplies. Help us reach our goal of distributing 7,000 backpacks.

Join Retire United network and fellow retirees in helping pack backpacks with age-appropriate, districted requested school supplies. Volunteers will also assist with other duties including sorting items, preparing supplies, and auditing final production. Up to 20 volunteers are needed for packing shifts.

To volunteer for this event, full vaccination status is required (including being up to date with boosters when eligible).  After you register, a United Way staff member will reach out to share the process for confirming your vaccination status.
