For individuals in the Information Technology field, membership in IT United is a great opportunity. Being a part of this group for the past two years has allowed me to use my skills to make an impact, network with other IT professionals and support students who want to pursue a career in IT.
On February 12, IT United is hosting its sixth annual CIO Forum event as a thank you to its members. This annual event features discussions with prominent CIOs from Milwaukee-area companies about key technology trends, high level strategies, and professional development topics.
A new concept called member roundtable discussion has been added as part of the CIO Forum this year to encourage peer level learning and networking. The member roundtable discussion will provide an opportunity for peer level discussion on topics of their interest.
This year’s event already has over 240 individuals registered, making it the largest gathering of CIOs in the state of Wisconsin. United Way Leadership Society members are invited and encouraged to register for this one of a kind event.

Over the past year, IT United has expanded its Chief Information Officer (CIO) Advisory Board from 25 to 30 members and the membership has grown to over 350. IT United members were very active in the community through events like the Technology Career Fair for students, job shadow programs encouraging student engagement in the technology field and tutoring and mentoring opportunities. I am very proud of the exciting work IT United is doing in the community.
I want to extend a big thank you to The Marcus Corporation for hosting the CIO Forum and hope to see you on February 12!
