Mary Lou's Closet
Across the nation, Mary Lou Young is considered a national thought leader and an agent for change. As the former President and CEO of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, Mary Lou raised millions of dollars to create lasting change in her community.
Her legacy of service lives on with Mary Lou’s Closet. This year-round supply drive will help to mobilize basic need items for youth. Donations will be distributed through the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership and United Way’s family of funded agencies and partners. Needed supplies include health & hygiene items such as deodorant, tampons and pads, body wash/wipes, winter gear, and undergarments.
School Supplies (Backpack Coalition)
Items Needed: Backpack, 2” Binders, Crayons 24ct, Glue Sticks, Broad Tip Markers 8ct, Dry Erase Markers, Composition Notebooks, Looseleaf Paper, Post-It Notes 3x3
Winter Coats & Gear
Items Needed: Warm Socks, hat, gloves, scarf, coat, lined hoodies, sweatpants/joggers (Size 4T to Adult 3XL)
Items Needed: Underwear, athletic socks, ankle socks, sweatpants/joggers (4yrs-18yrs or 4T to Adult 3XL)
