Chief Human Resources Officer

I first got involved with United Way years ago with a different employer. I contributed and I volunteered, but it wasn’t until I came to Rockwell, where I was asked to co-chair the United Way campaign in 2024, that I was able to see just how impactful United Way is in helping so many people in need.

This leadership role gave me the opportunity to connect more in depth with United Way and its leadership, and it gave me a real behind the scenes look to just how impactful United Way is in supporting our community.

I couldn’t be more excited to continue to help make a lasting impact in our community.

When I was growing up, my mom would sign up our family for Christmas gifts through various nonprofit organizations. In 2010, we were picked as part of an adopt-a-family program. This really impacted by choices to want to donate and volunteer to different groups in the future.

Every year Rockwell is part of the United Way Holiday Giving Tree program, and it brings me so much joy to be able to be part of this program. I love knowing that I can make one person’s face smile as much as when I did as a child.

My children have even joined in on the giving. They anticipate when the company would have the trees up and ask for me to bring them each a tag so they can go shopping. To see the way the United Way has grown on me and my children, knowing that it will make a great impact on them when they grow older, makes giving very special and near and dear to my heart.

I first got involved with United Way in the Racine community at my previous employer. As a transplant to that community, it was a great way to learn about the needs and worthy causes within that part of Southeast Wisconsin.

I joined the corporate giving campaign there and also got connected with causes like Habitat for Humanity and HALO within the community. When I moved to Rockwell over 10 years ago, it was great to see the importance we also placed on the United Way campaign, and it was a natural continuation for me to keep giving and support the new community where I work.

Territory Sales Manager

My first event with United Way was a Rockwell Automation Day of Caring event with my new team. I remember this being such a fun and rewarding team building activity. I felt proud to work for a company that prioritized the betterment of my local community.

I’m fortunate enough to have a stable and well-paying job, and I feel a responsibility to help our space be a better space for all that are in it. I appreciate that United Way has a pulse on the needs of the greater Milwaukee area.

With our busy lives, it is truly helpful to get guidance on how and when to prioritize my energy, time and funds.

Supporting United Way is important to me because it’s a direct way to uplift people in our community who are facing tough times. It’s about coming together to create real, lasting change — whether that’s helping families access basic needs, supporting education, or improving health and financial stability. Every contribution makes a difference.

United Way is a great organization to help and support our community.

I first became involved with United Way through workplace campaigns where I saw firsthand how even small contributions from many people could create a big impact.

Over time, I came to appreciate how United Way connects resources to real community needs, whether that’s supporting families, helping children thrive, or giving people a second chance when life gets tough.

For me, supporting United Way is about investing in the strength and well-being of our community. It’s a way to make sure that our neighbors don’t have to face challenges alone, and that we’re building a foundation where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Knowing that our collective efforts can change someone’s story for the better is what motivates me to continue supporting this work.

Community Outreach Program Manager

I was working at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and attended a meeting at United Way where we did a project packing snacks and decorating the lunch bags the snacks came in with inspirational messages for youth at the Clubs. Little did I know that 15 years later, I would have participated in so MANY of these projects, including a drive-up take-home kit packing during a pandemic!

Being able to help my Rockwell colleagues participate in these projects that provide valuable necessities to our neighbors across our community is something I am really proud of. I’ve even had the chance to include my three kids. I want to instill in them the love of making the effort to always make the effort to support others.

United Way addresses the most pressing needs in our community and has the ability to mobilize resources in a way that an individual organization wouldn’t be able to do.
