Stacy Williams is appointed to serve on United Way Worldwide advisory body to provide strategic direction on issues impacting women and families.

United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and their Women United group congratulate Stacy Williams, Director and Senior Investment Consultant with Hodge Williams Group at Baird, on her appointment to the United Way Women United Global Leadership Council. This council is an advisory body dedicated to creating opportunities for women in nearly 200 communities across the globe.Stacy Williams

The Women United Global Leadership Council serves as an advisory body providing strategic recommendations to United Way Worldwide as well as a key mobilizer engaging women leaders to advance gender equity and advocate for access to quality, affordable, educational childcare. The group also supports the growth of Women United globally.

“Our new members will enhance the council's mission to fight for gender equity,” said Cathy McRae, Chair of Women United Global Leadership Council. “As women uniting for good, we will be working with the Women United membership and nonprofit partners to mobilize support and advocate for our signature issue of early childcare and education.”

Stacy Williams is a long-time volunteer for United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County where she has served in various roles, including co-chair of the 2021 United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County Community Campaign, Co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Council, and co-founder of the Emerging Leaders Council.

“I am honored to join this network of exceptional women leaders,” said Williams. “The work our local Women United has accomplished here in Milwaukee has been impressive, and I look forward to learning more about what other areas of the country are doing to make their communities a place for everyone to thrive.”

Women United represents over 50,000 members working with United Way in hundreds of communities. Williams underwent a rigorous nomination process and was selected by the Council for her experience and commitment to embracing diverse perspectives and making investment in United Way’s mission.

She joins three other newly appointed members, Jane Short of United Way of South Hampton Roads, VA; Amber Gracanin of United Way of Salt Lake, UT; and Rebecca Lynch of United Way of Central Indiana in serving a three-year term.
