Main Content

Distribution events connect people with an essential digital resource – laptop computers. At a distribution event, eligible individuals can enroll for a computer of their own.

United Way’s Techquity initiative is focused on connecting job seekers, students, and others to computers and internet access to ensure everyone has the technology to succeed in our digital world.

Volunteer

Help with computer registration and assist guests as they navigate through a distribution event. Additionally, volunteers will help guests with the setup and answer basic questions about their new computer.

Volunteer individually or as a team. Teams of 5-20 volunteers are needed for each shift. Volunteer shifts can accommodate up to 20 volunteers and generally last for 2.5-3 hours per event. Typically we offer an AM shift and a PM shift, but exact times do shift slightly between event dates.

Volunteers do not receive a computer if they sign up to volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional distribution dates will be added as they are confirmed. Current dates are listing in the volunteer interest form below.
