Winter Bites

Main Content

Share your holiday spirit with others by packing Winter Bites food kits for students going on winter recess with United Way!

This annual, in-person event is great for individuals, groups, and families ready to have fun and make a difference this season.  Activities include packing items, writing notes, decorating place mats, and so much more!

We know that many local students from families who experience hunger and food insecurity often count on the consistency of meals served at their local schools.  When school is closed for a break, this presents a real challenge.

United Way, in partnership with Johnson Controls, is proud to organize a family-friendly volunteer event to pack food kits filled with nutritious snacks and easy to prepare meal items to ensure children have enough to eat while on winter recess break.

This effort will benefit students attending 16+ local schools throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.

This is a family-friendly volunteer event. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to join us.
