‘Big impact:’ Construction on Johnson Controls Volunteer Center hits midway point

United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County has broken ground on its new million dollar Johnson Controls Volunteer Center. Work began on Monday, March 19, 2018. In 2015, Johnson Controls, made a generous donation of $1 million dollars over three years to ensure the center becomes a state-of-the-art community hub where volunteers can get connected to issues they care about and make a lasting impact on the community.

Amy Lindner selected for United Way Worldwide Fellowship Program

This fellowship program is an accelerated development course designed for core leaders of United Way who are high performers and proven capacity for leadership.

Companies and organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin responded to the call to support the community by making contributions to the United Way COVID-19 Urgent Needs Fund. Those who made financial or in-kind donations include 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, GE Healthcare, HSA Bank, Meijer, Northwestern Mutual, UW Credit Union, We Energies Foundation, and Weyco Group.

Reyna and Victor found themselves out of work because of COVID-19. United Way partner Catholic Charities helped them make it through. We are proud to support programs that help families through life’s toughest challenges by running a United Way campaign.

PNC Foundation Donates to Provide Meals for Residents at Clare Hall

United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County announced today a donation from the PNC Foundation to support United Way’s COVID-19 Urgent Needs Fund. PNC’s support will help provide meals for the next three months to residents of Clare Hall, a vacant seminary converted to help the homeless and those most vulnerable to COVID-19. PNC is one of 23 companies who have made a contribution to this special fund set up by United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County as a way to assist nonprofit agency partners with their most pressing needs and essential services during the COVID-19 crisis.
