IRA Charitable Rollover

An IRA charitable rollover or qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. As a result, donors may avoid being pushed into higher income tax brackets and prevent phaseouts of other tax deductions, though there are some other limitations. 

How It Works: 

1. Select “Bill Me” option 

2. Provide your billing address. This will allow us to follow up with you if needed. 

3. Contact your IRA custodian to initiate payment to United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County. Please request that when your custodian sends the IRA Rollover or Qualified Charitable Distribution, they clearly indicate it is from you so that we can properly acknowledge your generosity.
