United Way Honors Inspiring Young Professionals

Over 150 people joined United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County to celebrate the 2015 Philanthropic 5 award winners at Best Place on Tuesday, August 11.
The awards, created by United Way’s Emerging Leaders, recognize five community leaders in their 20s, 30s and 40s who give, advocate and volunteer for change throughout Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha's nonprofit community. Each Philanthropic 5 winner was awarded $500 to donate to the charity of their choice.
This year's winners included:

- Jasmine Johnson, Pfizer, Inc. Watch Video
- Neil Kiekhofer, Front Room Photography Watch Video
- Deanna Singh, Burke Foundation Watch Video
United Way also handed out the first Philanthropic Youth (PY) award to recognize the great things that happen when our youth get involved and live united. Gopika SenthilKumar, a Brookfield Central graduate, won the award for spearheading a “Donate Your Age Campaign” that raised money towards United Way’s 2015 Campaign. She was awarded with a $500 scholarship for continuing education. Watch Video
