You can help United Way meet our first ever volunteerism goal by sharing your time and talents during the 2016 Season of Caring. This annual event connects workplaces and thousands of individuals to meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout our four-county region. At this year’s kickoff, an ambitious goal of 16,750 hours was announced, representing a 5% increase over last year.
The volunteerism goal enhances the financial resources mobilized through the annual campaign, helping United Way partners fulfill their missions and offer services they may not have the capacity to do without the extra time and talent that volunteers provide.
Just this past week, volunteers have been greeting and welcoming families and students back to school; winterizing the summer camp grounds for a youth serving agency; harvesting vegetables from a farm to address hunger; and packing shoeboxes with health and hygiene items for guests in local shelters.
Given our direct knowledge of local needs and multiple partnerships, United Way is well-positioned to connect you, your organization, and your work colleagues to what matters most; providing a personalized and fun volunteer experience from start to finish.
Join the United Way volunteer movement in our region by participating in this year’s Season of Caring. Start by viewing the wide range of volunteer opportunities listed here or call us directly at 262.409.2400.
