United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County
Engage your team in a volunteer project from wherever you are! The Fight the Flu kit packing project brings volunteers together to create basic wellness and flu-fighting kits for local community members across our region.
Imagine a time when you were sick. If you were fortunate to have a caring friend or family member send a get well soon package, you know how great it feels to have someone care about your well-being and provide you with tools for your journey back to health. Health disparities and accessibility gaps have come into the spotlight, shining a light on what is often a hidden issue. As United Way and our partners continue to fight for long-term success in healthcare equity for our community, the Fight the Flu kit packing project gives volunteers the opportunity to care for our fellow community members by providing short-term and urgent relief.
Fight the Flu Kits provide basic healthcare resources such as facial tissues, hand sanitizer, cough drops, soup, and face masks to help prevent and fight symptoms of the cold/flu.
This project impacts the following in our community:
Fight the Flu Kit (100): $1,640.00 Fight the Flu Kit (150): $2,040.00 Fight the Flu Kit (200): $2,400.00 Fight the Flu Kit (250): $2,820.00 Fight the Flu Kit (300): $3,180.00
